I finally got around to creating a video for my tutorial on how to restore your jailbroken iDevice (ipad, ipod touch, iphone) as new and still be able to keep your saved games. Here is a link to the thread I created over at ModMyi on how to do it: modmyi.com The reason you would want to restore as a new iDevice is because junk builds up when you are jailbroken. This can cause battery life problems, slow apps, and crashes. I recommend restoring at least every two months if possible. This tutorial makes it a lot easier to do so. The requirements for this is a jailbroken iDevice that will also be jailbroken after the restore. You will also need to either SSH or use iPhone Explorer to gain root access to your device. iPhone Explorer: m.macupdate.com You may also need to download “afc2add” in Cydia to allow for accessing your device’s root files through USB.

This video shows you how to use 3G Unrestrictor (from cydia) so that you can make calls using Skype on 3G. Combine this with Backgrounder (cydia app) and you can now make and receive calls anytime and anywhere. Download Skype from Apple App Store Add repo.sinfuliphone.com to cydia sources. Then search for 3G Unrestrictor and install. (cracked) Open 3G Unrestrictor and add Skype to the list. If 3G Unrestrictor isn’t working then try installing VoIPover3G from cydia. Download Backgrounder from Cydia. Once installed, to enable, open Skype (or any app) then hold the home button, let go of the home button when you see “backgrounder enabled” Now Skype (or any app) will be running in the background, enabling you to receive calls even if your iPhone is not on. 1. Make sure you have installed the latest version of iTunes. Windows: fileups.net Mac: fileups.net 2. Download PurpleRa1n fileups.net 3. Plug in your iPhone to your computer. Make sure iTunes is closed. 4. Run PurpleRa1n and click Make it Ra1n. You should get a message saying that your iPhone is waiting for reboot. Your iPhone will then reboot in recovery mode and you should see the image above on your iPhone screen. If you dont see this image after a few minutes, then it probably failed and you have to repeat the process (remember, I told you it is very unstable). 5. In this video, I discuss information that was released by the iPhone Dev Team on the iPhone 4 Unlock, as well as new information that was released about the iPhone 4 Jailbreak. According to PlanetBeing’s Twitter (Link Below), the iPhone 4 Jailbreak and Unlock are both stable and working well on the Device! Today, he jailbroke and unlocked his own iPhone 4 (notice the different carrier in the pictures in the video), and it worked well! As for a public release, if you saw my previous video, you know the jailbreak and unlock are not yet released. This still stands true, but now that this information has arisen, all that is needed is for the interface to be finished by the Dev Team for ease of use, and it will be released! Also, the Dev Team is waiting for Apple to release their next firmware update, so that the jailbreak is not patched. Despite all this, the Jailbreak should be out sometime before the end of July, so stay tuned. The following step by step guide will help you jailbreak your iPhone OS 4 Beta. Step 1: Download iPhone OS 4 Beta for iPhone Step 2: Update to this latest firmware file: iPhone1,2_4.0_8A230m_Restore.ipsw Step 3: Download redsnoow from here::filesmy.com Start redsn0w 0.9.5 and point it to the original iPhone OS 4 Beta firmware for iPhone to proceed. Step 4: Now select “Install Cydia” and click “Next”. Step 5: Now make sure your device is both OFF and PLUGGED IN to the computer before you click “Next”. Step 6: Connect your device in recovery mode by pressing the Power and buttons continuously. At this stage you will be presented with a screen where you will have to quickly hold “Power” button and then while holding the “Power” button, you will now have to hold “Home” button too.
